Year 6 concert band hits all the right notes

Posted on in Junior School

On Monday 25 August, the College held a spectacular concert band performance in the Nagle Centre in collaboration with St Virgil’s College. This musical exchange provided a wonderful opportunity for our Year 6 students to rehearse and perform alongside their peers from the St Virgil’s College Junior School.

The day, which involved rehearsals and band workshops, was filled with harmony, both musically and socially, as students built confidence, developed their ensemble skills and forged new friendships.

It was terrific to see teachers, families and students grooving along to the toe-tapping tunes, as our young musicians delivered a setlist featuring hits including Shark Attack,ÌýTri ²¹²Ô»åÌýIt’s Raining Tacos before wrapping up with a crowd favourite,ÌýLa Bamba.

The final performance was a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our Music staff and tutors. Events like these remind us of the power of collaboration and the joy of shared achievement.

Congratulations and well done to all students who shared their musical talents! Bravo, everyone!
